It goes quicker if you start chocolate melting early. In a bowl floating in boiling water is a good way. Could also microwave the chocolate.

Mix a bunch of blended dates and chopped mixed nuts.

It always seems like there are lots of nuts and it won’t stick together. If there are too many nuts, I think they will naturally sink to the bottom as they won’t stick to the mix, and you’ll just be left with something that will - under pressure - stick to itself.

Plus a touch of golden syrup - no idea if this is needed.

Line a tray with baking paper, cover the bottom with dessicated coconut.

Add the date & nut mix on top. Press down firmly.

Pour a thin layer of melted chocolate over the top. Then put in the fridge until it sets.

Once set, use a sharp knife to cut it into chunks.
